I'm looking to be able to create permanent usernames/passwords, or at least some that are good for 6 or 12 months for our staff.

Is there any way to do this?

Yes we can..
It's on our production list.
I think believe it will be available this weekend. (jan 10, 2010)
Keep an eye out for it.
