I am very interested in this system - my ONE concern is that if I want to offer a good value product - eg: Monthly access for £10 with a 2 GB limit, this could be a disaster if the person just logs in an out every half an hour or so week in week out.

I just wondered if anyone has some figures they could share as to the TYPICAL number of times someone will log-in / log-out per day when connected to an account valid for weeks rather than a couple of hours. I guess some folks just log in and STAY logged in for days at a time. Others I am guessing log in, send an email and then log out again.

I am just guessing that if someone logs in and out a good few times per day, over the course of a month you might have well over 250 "sessions per user" - which could end up costing you rather more than you took in the first place!

It is the ONE concern I have as everything else seems to suggest that this is the ideal product for installing and sharing with everything from car-park owners to little hotels etc.

Some "typical user figures / habits" would be really helpful please folks.

This is an interesting concept.
We have thought about implementing a daily login cap per user in the past.
However, we usually wait for user input before making any changes.
Nobody, yet, has brought forth this issue.
So, I assume it is a fairy reasonable number.

Can we provide stats? Well yes, but.... Providing these numbers would be greatly convoluted due to several variables.
I recommend generating your own stats with the system with you exact hotspot model.
These stats are available in your control panel.
This includes the number of logins per user.

Solution.
Use the system. If you experience that multiple logins per user is
a big problem, let us know. We can implement this cap.

I have been using hotspotsystems but the 30% commission +20% Vat + $20 transfer fee + $ varies bank fees means we cannot do profit share with sites we want to co-install with - as around half the money is lost in commission. Your system seems potentially very much fairer all around.

Will sort out a router and give it a go. I have some ubiqitti NS2 and I have a feeling they are quite good for flashing.

Looks like I know what I will be doing to keep myself buy for a while.
